Random Polygons and Estimations of π
In this paper, we study the approximation of π through the semiperimeter or area of a random n-sided polygon inscribed in a unit circle in ℝ2. We show that, with probability 1, the approximation error goes to 0 as n → ∞, and is roughly sextupled when ...

Global extrapolation procedures for special and general initial value problems [PDF]
Two- and three- grid global extrapolation procedures are considered fohe special and general initial value problems of arbitrary order r tq. Extrapolation formulas are developed for consistent numerical methods of arbitrary order p .

This study investigates the impact of Ce and/or Mg on the electrical conductivity (EC) and mechanical properties of AlSi3 cast alloy. It highlights the synergistic effects of Ce and Mg on eutectic Si modification and Mg solute reduction in the Al matrix, resulting in the optimization of EC, strength, and ductility of the alloy.

Low-frequency extrapolation with deep learning
The lack of the low frequency information and good initial model can seriously affect the success of full waveform inversion (FWI) due to the inherent cycle skipping problem.

Aspects of SU(3) baryon extrapolation
We report on a recent chiral extrapolation, based on an SU(3) framework, of octet baryon masses calculated in 2+1-flavour lattice QCD. Here we further clarify the form of the extrapolation, the estimation of the infinite-volume limit, the extracted low ...

This study presents rapid evaluation methods for scan strategies in powder bed fusion (PBF) of polymers with a NIR laser as an example for its application. It uses line buffer‐based calculations and point density fields to predict the performance of four different scan strategies. The methods show promising results in laser‐based PBF of polymer samples,
