A Superlubricated Magnetically Steerable Microcatheter with Integrated Optical and Fluidic Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A magnetically steerable microcatheter with integrated optical and fluidic channels is developed for multifunctional navigation in tortuous anatomical environments. A surface‐grafted hydrogel coating enables low‐friction actuation. The device demonstrates stable light and fluid delivery during magnetic manipulation, offering a compact platform for ...

Durability of Soft Pneumatic Actuators: A Review and Benchmarking Protocol

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Lack of durability is a key challenge hindering the broad scale adoption of soft pneumatic actuators (SPAs) in automation industries. This review provides a comprehensive overview of existing research on SPA durability, introduces a standardized durability benchmarking protocol to consolidate the testing of SPAs, and outlines promising directions for ...

Mesenchymal Stromal Cell‐Mediated Intercellular Communication: Mapping the Interactome for Skeletal Muscle Homeostasis and Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liu et al. define a systems‐level interactome of fibroadipogenic progenitor (FAP)‐mediated signaling in skeletal muscle by integrating single‐cell transcriptomics with FAP depletion‐based perturbation analysis. Functional interrogation using a conditioned media bioassay links predicted signaling to multicellular outcomes, establishing a framework to ...

On some variations of extremal graph problems

open access: yes, 1997
A set P of graphs is termed hereditary property if and only if it contains all subgraphs of any graph G belonging to P. A graph is said to be maximal with respect to a hereditary property P (shortly P-maximal) whenever it belongs to P and none of its ...

Detection of Protein–Protein Interactions in Escherichia coli With Single Molecule Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article describes a regulatory circuit in Escherichia coli able to detect protein–protein interactions with exquisite sensitivity. The interaction between two hybrid proteins fused to Bordetella pertussis adenylate cyclase and its activator calmodulin triggers a potent cyclic AMP signaling cascade.

A note on the minimum reduced reciprocal Randic index of n-vertex unicyclic graphs

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2017
Recent studies show that the reduced reciprocal Randi? (RRR) index possesses the second-best correlating ability amongthe several well known topological indices.

Extremal cliques in Steinhaus graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2010
AbstractIn this paper, we define four types of clique in Steinhaus graphs and classify the generating strings of those n-vertex Steinhaus graphs whose maximum cliques have size ⌈n+33⌉, which is the maximum possible. Also, we give the number of such Steinhaus graphs with n vertices.

Extremal K2,3-free bipartite graphs

open access: yes, 2013
An extremal K_2,2-free bipartite graphs is a bipartite graph which contains the maximum number of edges and does not ...

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Spontaneous Multipolar Mitosis Through CIN‐seq

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multipolar mitosis, a hallmark of chromosomal instability (CIN), drives tumor heterogeneity but is challenging to study in live cells. Using CIN‐seq, a single‐cell multiomics method, we profiled rare CIN events and identified mechanisms associated with viable multipolar mitosis, including PTEN attenuation, Rho GTPase‐driven cytokinesis failure, and ...

In Situ X‐Ray Tomography and Acoustic Emission Monitoring of Damage Evolution in C/C‐SiC Composites Fabricated by Liquid Silicon Infiltration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates how the internal structure of fiber‐reinforced ceramic composites affects their resistance to damage. By combining 3D X‐ray imaging with acoustic emission monitoring during mechanical testing, it reveals how silicon distribution influences crack formation.
