Relationship Between Tennis Performances And Extremities Lengths

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Physical Education and Sport Science, 2017
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between extremity measurement and tennis performance in athletes aged 22-25 years. 15 male and 15 female athletes who has 23.57 ± 1.15 year average age participated in the study voluntary. AOS test was applied to athletes and the data were analyzed by Spearman test.

Comparative Wear and Friction Analysis of Sliding Surface Materials for Hydrostatic Bearing under Oil Supply Failure Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrostatic bearings excel in high‐precision applications, but their performance hinges on a continuous external supply. This study evaluates various material combinations for sliding surfaces to mitigate damage during supply failures or misalignment and to discover the most effective materials identified for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of

New examples of self-dual near-extremal ternary codes of length 48 derived from 2-(47,23,11) designs

open access: yesExamples and Counterexamples
In a recent paper (Araya and Harada, 2023), Araya and Harada gave examples of self-dual near-extremal ternary codes of length 48 for 145 distinct values of the number A12 of codewords of minimum weight 12, and raised the question about the existence of ...

Extremal Type II $\mathbb{Z}_4$-codes constructed from binary doubly even self-dual codes of length $40$ [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
In this note, we demonstrate that every binary doubly even self-dual code of length $40$ can be realized as the residue code of some extremal Type II $\mathbb{Z}_4$-code. As a consequence, it is shown that there are at least $94356$ inequivalent extremal Type II $\mathbb{Z}_4$-codes of length $40$.

Partitioning and Coarsening Dynamics of Precipitate‐Strengthened Cr‐Si Alloys: The Role of Ge, Pt, and Mo

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The microstructure of Cr‐rich Cr‐Si‐alloys is maintained by alloying with Ge, Pt, and Mo. The effects of these elements on A15‐phase fraction, partitioning, microstructural stability, grain size, and hardness are combinable. Molybdenum is found to be the most promising alloying element for microstructural stability during high‐temperature exposure.

On extremal self-dual ternary codes of length 48 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
All extremal ternary codes of length 48 that have some automorphism of prime order $p\geq 5$ are equivalent to one of the two known codes, the Pless code or the extended quadratic residue code.

Revealing the γ′ and γ″ Phase Fractions of Additively Manufactured and Differently Heat‐Treated Nickel‐Base Superalloy IN718 by Atom Probe Tomography and Their Impact on Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing is a promising route for the production of Ni‐base superalloys for turbine applications, such as Inconel 718. Nonetheless, it induces various changes in the microstructure and performance of these materials. One such change is the incidence of the δ‐Ni3Nb phase, whose impact on microstructure, aging precipitate fractions, and ...

ACC for minimal lengths of extremal rays for surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We prove that the lengths of extremal rays of log canonical Fano surfaces with Picard number one satisfy the ascending chain condition.
