Extreme hypersensitiveness to heat
Journal of Allergy, 1933Abstract A case of extreme hypersensitiveness to heat is described. The outstanding features were: (1) Exposure of the chest to heat from an ordinary forty-watt desk lamp at a distance of one and one-half feet for thirty seconds invariably produced an attack of asthma. (2) An ice bag invariably relieved attacks in three or four minutes or less.
