Extreme Points in Multi-Dimensional Screening [PDF]
This paper characterizes extreme points of the set of incentive-compatible mechanisms for screening problems with linear utility. Extreme points are exhaustive mechanisms, meaning their menus cannot be scaled and translated to make additional feasibility constraints binding.

Convex games and extreme points
The theory of games in characteristic function form is well developed. However not so much work has been done on the continuity properties of the core of these games. The aim of this paper is to prove that for convex games the core behaves nicely. (We also present some counterexamples for non convex games.) In Section 1 we give some definitions and ...

An extreme North Atlantic Oscillation event drove the pelagic Sargassum tipping point
The proliferation of pelagic Sargassum in the tropical Atlantic since 2011 is causing considerable health and economic concerns as large amounts of this brown alga arrive and accumulate in coastal ecosystems of western Africa and of the greater Caribbean

AbstractIn this article we are interested in the relationship between a transitive and antisymmetric notion of preference given in RP by a dominance structure and the notion of face of a set whether convex or not. No particular type of mappings with values in that space is considered.

Solving Linear Fractional Multilevel Programs
The linear fractional multilevel programming (LFMP) problem has been studied and it has been proved that an optimal solution to this problem occurs at a boundary feasible extreme point.
