A relation between extreme daily precipitation and extreme short term precipitation [PDF]
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has published the KNMI’06 climate scenarios in 2006. These scenarios give the possible states of the climate in The Netherlands for the next century. Projections of changes in precipitation were made for a time scale of 1 day.

Under the background of global warming, it is of great application value to study extreme precipitation events in four southwestern provinces and cities in China, which are vulnerable to the ecological environment and sensitive to climate change.Based on

Downscaling precipitation extremes [PDF]
A new method for predicting the upper tail of the precipitation distribution, based on empirical–statistical downscaling, is explored. The proposed downscaling method involves a re-calibration of the results from an analog model to ensure that the results have a realistic statistical distribution.

The intensification of extreme precipitation under anthropogenic forcing is robustly projected by global climate models, but highly challenging to detect in the observational record. Large internal variability distorts this anthropogenic signal.

The diurnal nature of future extreme precipitation intensification [PDF]
Short‐duration, high‐impact precipitation events in the extratropics are invariably convective in nature, typically occur during the summer, and are projected to intensify under climate change.
