Quantitative assessment of extreme programming practices

Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering 2001. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8555), 2002
Some anecdotal evidence demonstrates success of the extreme programming practice in a portion of the software industry. It has also been argued that pair programming, as a part of the extreme programming process, yields higher quality software products in less time.

Extreme Programming (XP)

2010

Extreme Programming and Modelling?

2000
Extreme Programming (XP:see http://www.xprogramming.com ,developed by Kent Beck and others, has recently taken the OO development world by storm. It can be seen as an antidote to over-documented,in flexible development pro- cesses;by taking certain good practices (testing, iteration and code reviewing, for example)to extremes, its adherents claim to ...

Supporting Distributed Extreme Programming

2002
Extreme programming (XP) is arguably improving the productivity of small, co-located software development teams. In this paper, we described an approach that tries to overcome the XP constraint of co-location by introducing a process-support environment (called MILOS for Agile Software Engineering - MILOS ASE) that helps software development teams to ...

Real-Time Extreme Programming

2003
This paper is a research study to analyze the potential use of extreme programming paradigm for real-time programming. The analysis begins by presenting a common reference model for real-time programming and coupling with existing formalisms. The paper highlights the parts of the extreme programming approach that can contribute to the real-time ...

Perceptions of extreme programming

ACM SIGSOFT Software Engineering Notes, 2006
Extreme Programming (XP) is probably the best known and (arguably) the most controversial of the so-called agile software development methodologies. The paper presents the main findings of a small pilot survey about user perceptions of XP.

RUP and eXtreme Programming

2006
The Rational Unified Processâ, or RUPâ, and eXtreme Programming (XP) are two popular software development methodologies or processes. Most people tend to think of them as opposing methods, where a project may adopt one or the other, but certainly not both.

Teaching eXtreme Programming Remotely

18th Conference on Software Engineering Education & Training (CSEET'05), 2005
This paper has two objectives; discussing how to teach eXtreme Programming (XP) and how to teach it remotely as a way to enlarge critically small departments. We show how to teach XP using class projects. We also discuss some of the problems brought to effective distance education by this method and their solutions.
