Exciton Dissociation Efficiency in Organic Solar Cells Quantified Via Thermally Induced Acceptor Aggregation and Photoluminescence Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a method to determine the exciton dissociation efficiency in non‐fullerene acceptor‐based organic solar cells during thermal aging by monitoring the photoluminescence of non‐dissociated excitons. Compared to optical modeling, the approach provides a substantially lower systematic error.

Simple Detection of Imperfect Charge Extraction at Contacts – Application to Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A novel analytical method is introduced to quantify imperfect charge extraction at solar cell interfaces using internal quantum efficiency measurements under weak and strong absorption. Applied to highly efficient perovskite solar cells, the method reveals imperfect interfacial collection, enabling rapid evaluation and detection of efficiency ...

Origin of Optimal Composition and Density for Li‐Ion Diffusion in Amorphous Li–P–S Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
AI‐driven simulations reveal that Li–S4 coordination and pore evolution govern short‐range Li dynamics and thus ion transport in Li2S–P2S5 glasses. This unified framework explains the optimal conductivity near Li3PS4 and 1.8 g/cm³ and clarifies why excess free volume suppresses diffusion, offering design principles for high‐performance amorphous solid ...

Dissecting Extreme Price Fluctuations in Mineral Fertilizers: Regularities and Co‐Movements in Light of Global Food Security

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extreme swings in food prices can put food security at risk. Fertilizer prices are among the main drivers of food prices. This work explores the recurrent behavior of the extreme global fertilizer price fluctuations underlying food price dynamics.
