Fully Bio‐Based Gelatin Organohydrogels via Enzymatic Crosslinking for Sustainable Soft Strain and Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Enzymatically crosslinked gelatin‐based organohydrogels, fabricated through a fully bio‐based and scalable process, exhibit exceptional strain and temperature sensing capabilities with minimal interference from environmental humidity. These transparent, stretchable, and ionically conductive materials operate without synthetic fillers or dopants.

All‐Aqueous Pullulan Fibers Enabling Visible‐to‐Near‐Infrared Waveguiding with Mechanical and Thermal Resilience

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Pullulan, a biomass‐derived polysaccharide, is transformed into transparent optical fibers using a solvent‐free borax hydrogel‐spinning method. The fibers outperform PMMA with ≈200 MPa tensile strength and 200 °C stability, while uniquely guiding visible‐to‐NIR light and enabling additive‐free humidity sensing.

Extrinsic Calibration of LiDAR, IMU and Camera

open access: yes, 2022
In this work we present a novel method to jointly calibrate a sensor suite consisting a 3D-LiDAR, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and Camera under an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) framework. We exploit pairwise constraints between the 3 sensor pairs to perform EKF update and experimentally demonstrate the superior performance obtained with joint ...

Calibration of Extrinsic Transformation Using Manifold Optimization

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2019
Abstract Data fusion with multiple heterogeneous sensors has shown great importance for motion control and navigation filter design of autonomous vehicles. However, data fusion often requires prior knowledge of the extrinsic transformations between sensors.
