A Note on Eye Movement [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
In a simplified fashion, the motion of the eyeball in its orbit consists of rotations around a fixed point. Therefore, this motion can be described in terms of the Euler's angles of rigid body dynamics. However, there is a physiological constraint in the motion of the eye which reduces to two its degrees of freedom.

Intra Orbital Foreign Body; A Case Series

open access: yesTNOA Journal of Ophthalmic Science and Research
Intra-orbital foreign body (IOFB) refer to foreign objects that penetrate the ocular globe wall and become lodged in the eye. Intra-orbital foreign body vary in nature, anatomical location, size, and shape and sometimes might cause serious threats to ...

How T-cells use large deviations to recognize foreign antigens [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Math. Biol. 57 (2008), 841-861, 2006
A stochastic model for the activation of T-cells is analysed. T-cells are part of the immune system and recognize foreign antigens against a background of the body's own molecules. The model under consideration is a slight generalization of a model introduced by Van den Berg, Rand and Burroughs in 2001, and is capable of explaining how this recognition

Removal of Foreign Bodies from the Eye [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Ophthalmology, 1920
This paper discusses practical points with reference to the diagnosis and removal of foreign bodies lodged in the eyeball, using the publication of McReynolds' views as an occasion for the expression of his own.

Fatigue Detection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Nowadays, there are many fatigue detection methods and the majority of them are tracking eye in real-time using one or two cameras to detect the physical responses in eyes. It is indicated that the responses in eyes have high relativity with driver fatigue.
