The “second‐hit” hypothesis proposes that both a genetic predisposition and an environmental insult—such as peripheral nerve trauma or spinal cord injury—are required for dystonia development. This review explores how neuroinflammation and maladaptive plasticity, triggered by nerve and spinal cord injury, contribute to dystonia pathogenesis.

Animating blossom: Time‐lapse to encourage plant awareness in the YouTube era

Time‐lapse videos can effectively capture key traits of flower blossoms, such as color, 3D structure, and temporal changes, making them valuable complements to herbarium specimens and other botanical collections. Despite the abundance of such videos on YouTube, most provide no ecological and botanical insights.

Fluoride release kinetics from uncoated and coated β−NaYF4$\ubeta-{\rm NaYF}_4$ and LiYF4${\rm LiYF}_4$ in aqueous solutions are quantified using an ion‐selective electrode coupled to a dialysis compartment. TEM/DLS/ICP‐OES and speciation‐aware modeling complement the fluoride release results.
