Highly Scalable, Raspberry‐Like Microbeads with Nano‐/Micro‐Confined Hybrid Hydrogel Desiccants for Rapid Atmospheric Water Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable nano‐/micro‐confinement strategy is developed, where polyacrylamide (PAM)‐LiCl hybrid desiccants are confined within hollow nanoparticles (HNPs) and assembled into raspberry‐like microbeads. The beads have a hydrogel‐rich core and an NP‐rich shell for fast absorption and desorption, releasing water 13.6 L kg⁻¹ day⁻¹.

Molecular landscape of eyelid sebaceous gland carcinoma: A comprehensive review

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology
Eyelid sebaceous gland carcinoma (SGC) is an aggressive skin cancer characterized by a heightened risk of recurrence and metastasis. While surgical excision is the primary treatment, unraveling the molecular intricacies of SGC is imperative for advancing

Covalent Adaptable Networks with Associative Siloxane Exchange Enabled by Amide‐Based Internal Catalysis: Designing for Reprocessability and Extrudability by Increasing the Cross‐Link Density

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Internally catalyzed siloxane dynamic chemistry is demonstrated resulting from amides covalently linked through alkyl chains to siloxanes. The alkyl length in the siloxane‐containing monomer tunes the network cross‐link density. Siloxane exchange dynamics are faster with increasing cross‐link density, because associative exchange is second order in ...

Upper Eyelid Reconstruction With a Horizontal V-Y Myotarsocutaneous Advancement Flap [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Upper eyelid tumours, particularly basal cell carcinomas, are relatively frequent. Surgical ablation of these lesions creates defects of variable complexity.

Endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma (EMPSGC) of the eyelid: Clinicopathologic features, immunohistochemical findings and review of literature

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
Sweat gland neoplasms are rare adnexal tumors that pose a diagnostic challenge for both, ophthalmologists and pathologists. Endocrine, mucin producing sweat gland carcinoma (EMPSGC), considered to be analogous to the solid papillary mammary carcinoma is ...

Microbubble‐Controlled Delivery of Biofilm‐Targeting Nanoparticles to Treat MRSA Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, an effective strategy using microbubble (MB)‐controlled delivery of biofilm‐targeting nanoparticles (BTNs) for removal and therapy of methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) biofilm infections is introduced. In vivo delivery of MB with BTN is demonstrated to silence key bacterial genes involved in biofilm formation (icaA), bacterial ...
