Application of Ibuprofen Sodium Dihydrate for Thermochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ibuprofen sodium dihydrate is introduced as a durable organic salt hydrate for low‐temperature thermochemical energy storage, operating within 60°C–110°C with high energy density. At the material level, it delivers ∼99.9% cycling efficiency over 150 cycles without deliquescence, enabled by a dual energy‐storage mechanism coupling dehydration and phase ...

Spatially Decoupling Heating and Evaporation for Convection‐Enhanced 3D Solar Evaporation With Continuous Salt Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An architecture‐enabled bottom‐heated 3D solar convective evaporator spatially decouples photothermal heating from evaporation, triggering natural convection that intensifies sidewall vapour removal and heat transfer. The system achieves significantly enhanced evaporation rates over 2D and conventional 3D designs while confining salt precipitation to ...

Eyelid Spindle Cell Lipoma: Case Report and Review of Three Patients in Literature

open access: yesClinical Case Reports
A 39‐year‐old woman presented a saucer‐shaped mass in the left upper eyelid and underwent the extirpation at local anesthesia. Pathologically, collagen fibers, capillaries, small vessels, and CD34‐positive spindle cells were dispersed among mature ...

Role of Cerebellar Interpositus Nucleus in the Genesis and Control of Reflex and Conditioned Eyelid Responses

open access: yes, 2004
The role of cerebellar circuits in the acquisition of new motor abilities is still a matter of intensive debate. To establish the contribution of posterior interpositus nucleus (PIN) to the performance and/or acquisition of reflex and classically ...

Functional Precision Oncology Approach Using Nanoliter Droplet Array for Drug Sensitivity Testing in Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A miniaturized drug sensitivity and resistance testing (DSRT) workflow based on the Droplet Microarray (DMA) platform enables functional drug testing using minimal patient‐derived tumor material. By screening nanoliter‐scale droplets containing as few as 300 cells, this approach generates reproducible and tumor‐specific drug response profiles ...

Eyelid development, fusion and subsequent reopening in the mouse

open access: yes, 1993
The process of eyelid development was studied in the mouse. The critical events occur between about 15.5 d postcoitum (p.c.) and 12 d after birth, and were studied by conventional histology and by scanning electron microscopy. At about 15.5 d p.c.

Modular Control of PEG‐Poly(2‐Oxazoline) Co‐Assembly Enables Tunable Aggregate Properties for Intraocular Pressure Management

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A thermo‐responsive poly(2‐oxazoline)‐based injectable formulation is developed to modulate intraocular pressure (IOP) in both normal and hypotonic eyes. By adjusting the PEG content, the aggregation behavior is finely tuned, enabling IOP elevation without long‐term deposition.

Design and Synthesis of Peptide‐Polyester Conjugates for Cell‐Mediated Scaffold Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work describes polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based biomaterials engineered to degrade in response to cell‐secreted proteases. A fast‐degrading peptide (Fast) sequence is integrated into a PCL conjugate backbone to produce a biomaterial that is selectively degraded by multiple cell types compared to its scrambled control (ScrFast).
