Skin Cancer, 2005 84歳の女性の左上下眼瞼BCC症例と, 86歳の女性の左頬部から下眼瞼のSCC症例の手術法について報告した。眼瞼部の大きな欠損の場合, 症例に応じて複数の皮弁や複合組織移植を選択する必要がある。その際, 眼瞼縁前葉の再建は眼輪筋皮弁が望ましい。理由は, 血行が豊富で皮弁が安定していること, 正常解剖に近い組織構築が再現できること, 挙筋機能再建や手技が比較的容易であること, 眼球との密着性が高いことなどの点からである。
