Lower eyelid and malar/palpebral groove reconstructions with a V-Y skin flap after skin tumor removal [PDF]
INTRODUCTION: The most commonly used flaps for the reconstruction of the lower eyelid and malar/palpebral groove are cervicofacial flaps owing to their horizontal traction, which results in a lower risk of ectropion and canthal dystopias.

STUDIES OF THE MOVEMENTS OF THE EYELIDS OF ANIMALS: BLINKING
1. A rough classification of the movements of the eyelids of animals has been made. 2. Observations of the normal inter blink period of many vertebrate animals is recorded. 3. The physiology of blinking is considered. 4.

Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia occurring in bilateral eyelids
BackgroundAngiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) is an uncommon benign lesion, primarily occurring in the head and neck. ALHE arising from the ocular adnexa is rare, and the bilateral presentation is especially rare in the eyelids.Case ...

Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of High‐Nitrogen Alloyed FeCr(Si)N Stainless Steel
The alloying element Nitrogen enhances stainless steel strength, corrosion resistance, and stabilizes austenite. This study develops austenitic FeCr(Si)N steel production via powder metallurgy. Fe20Cr and Si3N4 are hot isostatically pressed, creating an austenitic microstructure.

Vacuum‐Formed Composites Based on a Polyolefin and a High Content of Biomass‐Waste Fillers
It is shown here that by the use of a very ductile polymer matrix, it is possible to vacuum‐form products that contain up to 25% of hard biofillers with still ductile properties. The results are promising and opens up for the use of engineered biocomposites derived from industrial side‐stream biofillers in vacuum‐formed products. A strategy to increase

Dynamic Upper Eyelid Reconstruction for Total Periorbital Soft Tissue Loss
Total eyelid defect comprises full-thickness loss of both upper and lower eyelids in a patient. It is a rare and devastating condition with serious implications related to vision, which mandates early and functional reconstruction when associated with ...
