Nature of Anti‐Dissipative High‐Energy Excited States in Quaterpyridine‐Bridged Ruthenium Complexes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Upon photoexcitation, meta‐connected quaterpyridine‐bridged Ru complexes undergo fast inter‐ligand electron transfer like typical chromophores, but unusually slow intra‐ligand electron transfer within bridge‐centered MLCT states. The energy saved was exploited for photoreductions and photooxidations with model electron donors and acceptors ...

The role of the higher education in physics in the industrialization of Japan

open access: yesPortes: Revista mexicana de estudios sobre la Cuenca del Pacífico, 2016
Industrialization was a kingpin in Japan’s fast transition from an isolationist country to a great power, beginning in the last decades of the nineteenth century. As industrialization demands a technical know-how, and self-sufficiency was a main point in

Tungsten Carbide Nanoparticles Embedded in Carbon Nanofoam Composites for Efficient Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
A tungsten carbide nanoparticles/carbon nanofoam composite is presented as an efficient electrocatalysts towards hydrogen evolution reaction. The simultaneous ablation of tungsten and carbide via pulsed laser deposition results in homogeneous and dense dispersion of tungsten carbide particles in the carbon matrix.

Unconventional Fast Room Temperature Synthesis of Covalent Organic Framework Single Crystals Unveiling Precise Structural Insights

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work presents a fast, room‐temperature synthesis of single‐crystalline, highly fluorinated 2D covalent organic frameworks (COFs). We achieved the growth of 3‐micron‐long COF rods, enabling the precise study of their mechanical properties and aggregation states.

Enhancing Sensitivity across Scales with Highly Sensitive Hall Effect‐Based Auxetic Tactile Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
Herein, a tactile sensor based on hall‐effect sensors with an auxetic structure, called Hall effect‐based auxetic tactile sensor (HEATS), is proposed. The change in magnetism resulting from the deformation of the auxetic structure is utilized for sensing.

Long Range Coherent Energy Transfer in Artificial Multichromophoric Antenna Systems—A Case of Breaking Kasha's Rule

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We investigated a unitary quantum‐yield long‐range energy transfer in a novel family of artificial DNA‐guided multichromophoric antenna complexes. We demonstrated that it occurs via a coherent mechanism enabled by the photoexcitation of delocalized higher excited states of the complex, being in this respect an anti‐Kasha process.
