New Trends in the Zee Model [PDF]
Recent trends in the Zee model are reviewed. Especially, the importance of a serious constraint in the Zee model, sin^2 2\theta_{solar} =1.0, is pointed out.Comment: 3 pages, Latex, Plenary talk given at NuFact'01 (held in Tukuba, Japan, 24-30 May 2001)

Abstract In radiation oncology, inter‐fractional dosimetry using optically stimulated luminescent detectors (OSLDs) ensures accurate plan delivery and patient safety. RadPro International GmbH's myOLSchip system, featuring a beryllium oxide (BeO) OSL dosimeter, reader, and eraser, was characterized and calibrated with a Varian Truebeam for in‐vivo ...

Guarded Second-Order Logic, Spanning Trees, and Network Flows [PDF]
According to a theorem of Courcelle monadic second-order logic and guarded second-order logic (where one can also quantify over sets of edges) have the same expressive power over the class of all countable $k$-sparse hypergraphs. In the first part of the

Evaluation of internal target volume of abdominal tumors using cine‐MRI
Abstract Introduction The detailed anatomy visualization with magnetic resonance (MR)‐guided radiotherapy is particularly attractive for abdominal treatments, but patient respiratory motion can compromise image quality. The “navigator technique” produces high‐quality 3D images, triggered by diaphragm displacement, in exhale phase only.

Variational Mote Carlo Study of Flat Band Ferromagnetism -- Application to CeRh_3 B_2
A new mechanism for ferromagnetism in CeRh_3B_2 is proposed on the basis of variational Monte Carlo results. In a one-dimensional Anderson lattice where each 4f electron hybridizes with a ligand orbital between neighboring Ce sites, ferromagnetism is ...

Butterfly Optics Exceed the Theoretical Limits of Conventional Apposition Eyes [PDF]
Optical experiments on butterfly compound eyes show that they have angular sensitivities narrower than expected from conventional apposition eyes. This superior performance is explained by a theoretical model where the cone stalk is considered as a ...

Purpose Linear accelerator (LINAC)‐based single‐isocenter multi‐target (SIMT) treatment has streamlined the cranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) workflow. Though efficient, SIMT delivery adds additional challenges that should be considered, including increased sensitivity to rotational errors for off‐isocenter targets.

An Analytical Two Resistance Mass Transfer Model for Dye Adsorption on Bagasse Pith [PDF]
The adsorption of fOUr dyes, namely, Basic Blue 69, Basic Red 22, Acid Blue 25 and Acid Red 114, onto bagasse pith has been studied. A mass transfer model, based on external mass transport and p01-e diffusion, has been used to correlate experimental ...
