Hormonal control and target genes of ftz-f1 expression in the honeybee Apis mellifera: a positive loop linking juvenile hormone, ftz-f1, and vitellogenin

open access: yes, 2018
Ftz-f1 is an orphan member of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily. A 20-hydroxyecdysone pulse allows ftz-f1 gene expression, which then regulates the activity of downstream genes involved in major developmental progression events.

ANKS1B in the Nucleus Accumbens Controls Escalated Cocaine Self‐Administration via Regulating CBP‐FoxO3 Complex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ANKS1B in the nucleus accumbens plays a critical role in the transition from controlled to escalated cocaine intake. Mechanistically, ANKS1B interacts with CBP to epigenetically suppress FoxO3 through H3K27 acetylation. The ANKS1B‐CBP‐FoxO3 signaling cascade presents a novel theraputic target for the treatment of cocaine addiction.

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...

Structural and biochemical studies of the regulation and catalytic mechanism of ATP synthase

open access: yes, 2005
ATP synthase (F1Fo-ATPase) catalyses the production of ATP from ADP and orthophosphate by using the proton motive force established across a membrane by photosynthesis or oxidative phosphorylation.

Toward Prostate Cancer Early Warning with a Self‐Powered Wearable Biosensing Platform Integrated with Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current prostate cancer detection methods remain limited in non‐invasiveness and specificity, prompting interest in urinary biomarkers such as sarcosine. Here, we report a urine‐powered wearable platform for non‐invasive sarcosine detection as a proof‐of‐concept for decentralized early warning.
