Engineered Bacillus subtilis regulates intestinal barrier in ETEC K88‐infected piglets and modulates miR‐1250‐5p/NFκB pathway in IPEC‐J2

Upon enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) K88 infection, intestinal barrier function is disrupted with compromised tight junctions, accompanied by an exacerbated inflammatory response, proliferation of pathogenic Escherichia, and depletion of beneficial Lactobacillus paralimentarius.

Black phosphorus‐based photothermal disruption of cancer‐associated fibroblast barriers and tumor‐associated macrophage targeting to enhance anti‐PD‐L1 immunotherapy in triple‐negative breast cancer

MBB modulates the TNBC tumor microenvironment by targeting TAM/CXCL1 and facilitates anti‐PD‐L1 therapy by disrupting CAF barriers via its photothermal effect. This combined strategy subsequently enhances the efficacy of PD‐L1 mAb and suppresses TNBC progression, metastasis, and recurrence.

S100A9 promotes pulmonary arterial hypertension by regulating mitochondria–endoplasmic reticulum interaction‐mediated inflammatory injury of endothelial cells

Macrophage‐derived S100 calcium‐binding protein A9 (S100A9) promotes the pathological progression of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). S100A9 upregulates the interaction between signal‐transducing adaptor protein 2 and leucine‐rich repeat kinase 2, thereby regulating mitochondria–endoplasmic reticulum (ER) contact.
