Strangeness production via electromagnetic probes: 40 years later

open access: yes, 2003
A brief review of the associated strangeness electromagnetic production is presented. Very recent K+ Lambda photoproduction data on the proton from threshold up to E=2.6 GeV are interpreted within a chiral constituent quark formalism, which embodies all ...

Size‐selective mortality evolutionarily alters collective behaviour in response to predation risk in a zebrafish (Danio rerio) harvest‐induced selection model

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Intensive multigenerational size‐selective mortality has been found to alter collective properties like shoaling via evolutionary adaptations of individual‐level behavioural traits. For example, experimental populations of zebrafish (Danio rerio) experiencing intensive large size‐selective mortality over multiple generations developed less ...

Export Development of Belarus

open access: yesQuaestiones Geographicae, 2020
The paper contains a deep analysis of exports of Belarus and defines the proposals for its development. Economic comparisons and systematisation, which is based on the official statistical data for 2012–2018, are used in the study.

Sequence and analysis of BECV F15 matrix protein

open access: yesResearch in Virology, 1990
Clones from the bovine enteric coronavirus (F15) cDNA library were cloned in pBR322 and sequenced by the method of Sanger and Coulson. This led to the identification of a sequence of 1,300 bases which contained a single open reading frame of 690 bases yielding a protein having properties of the matrix protein (M).

A population of extreme mid-to-near-infrared sources: obscured AGN and dusty starbursts

open access: yes, 2004
We present a sample of mid-infrared detected sources from the European Large Area ISO Survey (ELAIS) regions characterised by strong mid-IR radiation with faint near-IR and optical counterparts.

Photocouplings of nucleon resonances with gluon and pion exchange currents [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Photocouplings for the nucleon resonances most relevant to total photoabsorption are calculated in a constituent quark model including gluon and pion exchange. The sensitivity of the results to the different ingredients of the model is discussed.Comment:

Home Safe Home: Safety Gains Through Telework During the Covid‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesLABOUR, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper exploits exogenous shifts in work organisation during the Covid‐19 pandemic to study the implications of hybrid and remote work arrangements on occupational safety. Combining accident registers and household survey microdata from Hungary, we are able to address potential selection and reporting bias, and reliably identify the ...

Potential relationship of epistemic games to group dynamics and learning orientations towards physics problem solving

open access: yes, 2017
Current investigations into pedagogical goals of introductory algebra-based physics students at the University of Central Arkansas, by learning orientation towards an in-class metacognitive group problem solving task, seek to determine possible ...
