Comorbid Mood and Anxiety Disorder Diagnoses in Patients With First‐Episode Psychosis: Comparison Between Research and Clinical Diagnoses

open access: yesEarly Intervention in Psychiatry, Volume 20, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Clinically significant depression and anxiety disorders are common in different phases of first‐episode psychosis (FEP). These comorbidities can be undervalued in clinical practice. We studied how often comorbid depression and anxiety disorders are diagnosed using the SCID‐I interview in FEP patients and explored the corresponding ...

Clinical and Sociodemographic Characteristics of Young People With Early Psychosis: Comparing Cannabis Users and Non‐Users in a Specialized Early Intervention Setting

open access: yesEarly Intervention in Psychiatry, Volume 20, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Despite the high prevalence of comorbid cannabis use at first onset of psychotic symptoms, high transition rates from cannabis‐induced psychosis to schizophreniform psychoses and bipolar disorder, and evidence of cannabis use as a risk factor in developing primary psychosis, only a few studies have addressed the difficulties in ...

Capture of adeno‐associated viruses from clarified lysate by continuous flow ultracentrifugation: a comparative study of iodixanol and sucrose gradients

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, Volume 101, Issue 7, Page 1384-1395, July 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Adeno‐Associated Virus vectors are widely used in gene therapy due to their safety and efficacy. Despite the interest in their therapeutical application, AAV purification remains a significant challenge. Density gradient ultracentrifugation using cesium chloride, sucrose, or iodixanol gradients are common methods for AAV ...

Investigating zeta‐cypermethrin resistance stability in California Drosophila suzukii populations

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 6808-6816, July 2026.
After continuous selection and removal of selection pressure in spotted‐wing Drosophila, zeta‐cypermethrin resistance remained stable over several generations. Following a population bottleneck, zeta‐cypermethrin resistance increased without selection, highlighting the importance of insecticide rotation.

The Impact of Subglacial Drainage System Evolution and Glacier Lake Outburst on Arctic Fjord Macronutrient Dynamics

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 131, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Global warming is amplified in the Arctic, accelerating glacier melt and freshwater runoff. At tidewater glaciers, runoff typically enters fjords at depth and generates buoyancy‐driven circulation that enhances glacier‐ocean exchanges of energy and matter, influencing macronutrient delivery and marine primary production.

Higher aggrecan 1-F21 epitope concentration in synovial fluid early after anterior cruciate ligament injury is associated with worse knee cartilage quality assessed by gadolinium enhanced magnetic resonance imaging 20 years later

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2020
Background To investigate if cartilage related biomarkers in synovial fluid are associated with knee cartilage status 20 years after an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Methods We studied 25 patients with a complete ACL rupture without subsequent

Flood Inundation Modeling Using the Surface Water Ocean Topography Mission

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Flood risk mapping requires detailed river bathymetry, yet these data are unavailable for most rivers. We propose a new algorithm to estimate river bathymetry from multitemporal observations of water height by the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission.

Health, Social and Recidivism Outcomes Among People Who Have Been Incarcerated in New South Wales, Australia: Study Protocol and Cohort Profile for the Prison Outcomes STudy (POST)

open access: yesDrug and Alcohol Review, Volume 45, Issue 5, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction We have been funded to examine post‐incarceration health and social outcomes for all people incarcerated in New South Wales, Australia, 2000–2022; assess treatment and services for drug dependence and serious mental illness; and project the impact of expanding intervention coverage. We will use a linked cohort, the Prison Outcomes
