Prevalence of Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Families of Women Taking Psychotropic Medication During Pregnancy

open access: yesPaediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Familial and environmental factors contribute to neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). Prenatal psychotropic exposure may influence the risk of NDDs in children. As these medications are prescribed to women with mental disorders, which are genetically and environmentally linked to NDDs, accounting for familial confounding is ...

Junctional conductance of retinal AII amacrine cell electrical synapses is decreased by NMDA receptors

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend AII amacrine cells are an important class of interneuron in the vertebrate retina. In addition to traditional chemical synapses these cells communicate with other neurons and with each other via electrical synapses. (A) Electrical synapse strength between AII amacrine cells was measured using dual whole‐cell patch‐clamp ...

Spatial patterns of tau accumulation across the Alzheimer's disease spectrum

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 1, January 2026.
INTRODUCTION The spatial progression of longitudinal tau pathology has been inferred using cross‐sectional data, but longitudinal voxel‐wise analyses allow these patterns to be established without inference. METHODS We pooled 1426 flortaucipir (FTP) positron emission tomography (PET) scans from 583 participants across the aging and Alzheimer's disease (

Lossless Information‐Based Dimensionality Reduction of Comprehensive Features With a Deep Variational Autoencoder Enables Early‐Life Prediction of Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
This paper presents a dimensionality reduction approach that minimizes feature redundancy while retaining essential information, simplifying subsequent model training. Starting with a complete feature set to capture aging characteristics, we reduced it to 10 key features, resulting in a maximum reconstruction mean squared error (MSE) of 0.02139.
