CO2 reactivity differentially predicted alcohol‐seeking behaviour in alcohol dependent and non‐dependent male and female rats after extinction and retrieval‐extinction. However, there were no relationships between orexin/c‐Fos colocalization and CO2 reactivity or return of alcohol‐seeking behaviour.
