The Impact of the Parental Patterns of Morbidity and Comorbidity in the Cross‐Generational Transmission of Risk for Major Depression and Alcohol Use Disorder

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, Volume 201, Issue 1, Page 35-51, January 2026.
ABSTRACT To further understand the inter‐relationship of the familial transmission of major depression (MD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD), we examine, via a multivariable Cox proportional hazards model, risks for AUD and MD in 1,244,516 individuals born in Sweden from 1970 to 1990 to intact mother–father pairs as a function of parental diagnoses of MD

What went wrong? The evolution of the IMF 1941-1961

open access: yesPSL Quarterly Review, 2013
Despite its promising start in 1946-47, the new IMF soon ceased to fulfil its expected role for almost nine years. An exploration is provided for the latter in the wider context of international economic cooperation. It was not until 1961 that the Fund's

F33:A−:B− and F2:A−:B− Plasmids Mediate Dissemination of rmtB-bla CTX-M-9 Group Genes and rmtB-qepA in Enterobacteriaceae Isolates from Pets in China [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 2011
ABSTRACT This study investigated the prevalence of 16S rRNA methylase genes in 267 Enterobacteriaceae isolates collected from pets. The rmtB gene was detected in 69 isolates, most of which were clonally unrelated. The coexistence of the rmtB gene with the

Study of the spin-$\frac32$ Hubbard-Kondo lattice model by means of the Composite Operator Method

open access: yes, 2006
We study the spin-$\frac32$ Hubbard-Kondo lattice model by means of the Composite Operator Method, after applying a Holstein-Primakov transformation. The spin and particle dynamics in the ferromagnetic state are calculated by taking into account strong ...

Lossless Information‐Based Dimensionality Reduction of Comprehensive Features With a Deep Variational Autoencoder Enables Early‐Life Prediction of Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
This paper presents a dimensionality reduction approach that minimizes feature redundancy while retaining essential information, simplifying subsequent model training. Starting with a complete feature set to capture aging characteristics, we reduced it to 10 key features, resulting in a maximum reconstruction mean squared error (MSE) of 0.02139.

The role of interference in unraveling the ZZ-couplings of the newly discovered boson at the LHC

open access: yes, 2013
We present a general procedure for measuring the tensor structure of the coupling of the scalar Higgs-like boson recently discovered at the LHC to two Z bosons, including the effects of interference among different operators. To motivate our concern with
