Parthenocarpy and Internal Competition in Vicia fabaL.
Zeitschrift für Pflanzenphysiologie, 1979Summary By preventing pollination of decapitated field bean plants parthenocarpic pods were produced consistently. No exogenous growth substances were applied. Evidence accumulated using such an approach helped explain causes of flower failure in this crop.

Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 2007Rosids represent the largest of the eight major clades of core eudicots comprising of 140 families and approximately one-third of all angiosperm species (Soltis and Soltis, 2004). Other than the traditional Rosidae, it encompasses families from Magnoliidae, Dilleniidae and Hamamelidae (Cronquist, 1981; Takhtajan, 1980, 1997).

Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 2005Abstract The Fabales clade comprises four families: Leguminosae, Polygalaceae, Quillajaceae and Surianaceae. This study presents new information on the pollen morphology of Quillaja, the only genus of Quillajaceae, and Recchia, Guilfoylia, Cadellia, Suriana and Stylobasium, the five genera that comprise Surianaceae.
