Characterizing Fabric Pilling Due to Fabric-to-Fabric Abrasion
Textile Research Journal, 2001This paper describes a cylindrical lighting system and its applications for objectively assessing fabric pilling. This cylindrical lighting system allows easy isolation and measurement of pills by illuminating only the pills and suppressing the background.

Fibers and Polymers, 2013The effects of fabric balance and fabric cover on surface roughness values of textured polyester woven fabrics with different constructional parameters were investigated. The warp yarn properties (type, count and warp density) were kept constant while the effect of variation in weft yarn density and weave pattern were studied.
