Fabry-Perot interferometer surfacing

Optics & Laser Technology, 1972
Abstract The Institut d'Optique de Paris has been interested for many years in fabricating flat optical surfaces for Fabry-Perot interferometers. This paper details a few conclusions obtained about pitch surfacing from a study which took place in these laboratories.

Fiber Fabry-Perot interferometers

Integrated Optics and Optical Fiber Communication, 1981
A Fabry-Perot (FP) interferometer or etalon is an optical device that can detect, in a digital way, temperature, pressure, or mechanical vibration via the change in optical path length between two surfaces with high reflectivity. In this paper we report some studies of a fiber Fabry-Perot etalon (FFPE).

A scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer

Infrared Physics, 1978
Abstract A scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer has been constructed for balloon-borne observations at 156 μm. The semi-reflecting surfaces are tightly stretched, electroformed, metallic mesh. Spectral scanning is accomplished by mechanically changing the reflector separation via a moveable carriage sliding on linear ball bearings.

A Scanning Fabry Perot Interferometer

Journal of Optics, 1983
A scanning Fabry Perot interferometer is made using a piezoelectric transducer tube (PZT) as a scanning element, and a photodiode as a detector. The paper gives the constructional details of the interferometer and also of the electronic circuit required for obtaining the scanning.

On the Scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometer

Physica Scripta, 1973
The instrument function of a composed system is discussed, with application to the scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer. The systematic deviation caused by the weight function of the scanning aperture is analysed and a comparison is made between the two cases when the instrument function of the etalon is described by the Airy formula and when the ...
