Dynamic models of Fabry-Perot interferometers
Applied Optics, 2002Long-baseline, high-finesse Fabry-Perot interferometers can be used to make distance measurements that are precise enough to detect gravity waves. This level of sensitivity is achieved in part when the interferometer mirrors are isolated dynamically, with pendulum mounts and high-bandwidth cavity length control servos to reduce the effects of seismic ...

High Sensitivity Humidity Fiber-Optic Sensor Based on All-Agar Fabry–Perot Interferometer
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2018A high sensitivity humidity fiber sensor based on all-agar Fabry–Perot (FP) interferometer is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The sensor is fabricated by filming a thin layer of moisture-sensitive agar to single mode fiber with end dipping ...

High-sensitivity strain sensor with an in-fiber air-bubble Fabry-Perot interferometer
Applied Physics Letters, 2018We present a laser machining method for fabricating an all-fiber pillar-in-bubble Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI), which is used for strain sensors with high sensitivity. The micro-structure of the air-bubble is fully controllable, especially the cavity

A scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer
Infrared Physics, 1978Abstract A scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer has been constructed for balloon-borne observations at 156 μm. The semi-reflecting surfaces are tightly stretched, electroformed, metallic mesh. Spectral scanning is accomplished by mechanically changing the reflector separation via a moveable carriage sliding on linear ball bearings.

A Scanning Fabry Perot Interferometer
Journal of Optics, 1983A scanning Fabry Perot interferometer is made using a piezoelectric transducer tube (PZT) as a scanning element, and a photodiode as a detector. The paper gives the constructional details of the interferometer and also of the electronic circuit required for obtaining the scanning.

Liquid-crystal based Fabry-Perot interferometer displacement sensor.
Applied Optics, 2019A Fabry-Perot interferometer displacement sensor is proposed and demonstrated. This sensor is prepared by inserting two ceramic ferrules into a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) hose to generate a Fabry-Perot cavity.

Low-Cost Fabry-Perot Interferometers
American Journal of Physics, 1965This article describes the construction and use of Fabry-Perot devices for use in elementary laboratories. The basic ingredients are microscope cover glasses and inexpensive plate glass. The devices provide moderate resolving power (̃104) at almost no cost.

Double-Passed Fabry-Perot Interferometer
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1961Increased contrast and resolution can be obtained with the Fabry-Perot interferometer by reflecting the transmitted beams back through the instrument. An arrangement for this purpose is described in which the double-passed interference pattern is isolated by means of a simple polarizing system.

Fabry-Perot Interferometer Spectrometers
2009The Fabry-Perot interferometer has been used as a spectrometer that has very high resolving power and large throughput, although it tends to have very little available field of view. It has, therefore, not been used much, if at all, as an imaging spectrometer. The limitations are described here.

A Fabry-Perot neutron interferometer
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1991Abstract Results of spectral measurements of a neutron multilayer interferometer are presented. The angular dependence of the reflectivity at wavelengths corresponding constructive and destructive interference have been investigated.
