Color Symmetry Breaking in a Nonlinear Optical Microresonator
A two‐color pump drives an integrated microring resonator into spontaneous color symmetry breaking mediated by the nonlinear Kerr effect. Above threshold, one optical color becomes spontaneously dominant while the other is submissive, with the selected output state emerging randomly. These results establish a new form of symmetry breaking in integrated

Gradient‐Structured Polymer Fiber Mats for Broadly Tunable Multicolor and White Lasing
Hierarchically engineered electrospun fiber mats containing separated red, green, and blue dyes enable highly tunable multicolor and white random lasing. Spatially controlled dye distribution suppresses energy transfer, allowing precise color adjustment across wide color gamuts and accurate reproduction of daylight white standards.

Tunable, High Pulse Energy and Narrow Linewidth Gas‐Filled Fiber Laser Across Near‐ and Mid‐Infrared
A cascaded gas‐filled anti‐resonant hollow‐core fiber architecture enables broadly tunable infrared Raman lasers spanning ∼1.4–4.6 µm while maintaining microjoule‐level pulse energies and gigahertz‐level linewidths. The approach combines a wavelength‐tunable pump laser with optimized Raman frequency conversion, providing a compact route to high ...

Photonic nanovoids for tailored optoelectronic response in silicon solar cells
Optoelectronic workflow followed by experimental validation, demonstrating state‐of‐the‐art efficiency gains. Abstract As crystalline silicon (c‐Si) solar cells become thinner to reduce cost and weight, the optical design principles that govern light trapping (LT) must evolve.

Metal/Si Nanowire Arrays for Hot Electron Catalysis
Silicon nanowire arrays enhance plasmon‐driven catalysis by strengthening light–matter interactions on Au and Ag nanostructured coatings. Hotspot accessibility, rather than near‐field intensity alone, governs photocatalytic performance, while Ag nanoshells exhibit superior activity. The work establishes high‐surface‐area Si nanowire arrays as versatile

ABSTRACT The detection of partial discharges (PD) on the power transformer tank demands higher sensitivity in ultrasonic detection. To target the detection frequency band for sensor optimisation and enhance sensitivity, this paper presents a dual‐frequency sensitivity model for optical fibre ultrasonic sensors.
