Comb‐Driven Coherent Optical Transmitter for Scalable DWDM Interconnects
A comb‐driven coherent optical transmitter on a Si/SiN platform enables scalable DWDM interconnects by integrating ultra‐compact microring‐assisted modulators and interleavers. High‐baud coherent signaling achieves 400 Gb/s per wavelength and >$>$1 Tb/s multi‐channel transmission, with projected >$>$10 Tb/s per fiber, offering a path toward energy ...

A picopatch in a plasmonic nanocavity confines the electromagnetic energy to tiny effective volumes, close to 1nm3, leading to extreme electric field enhancements. Furthermore, a clear signature of strong coupling between the picopatch modes and other modes of the structure is obtained, which strongly modifies the far‐field response. ABSTRACT Plasmonic

Color Symmetry Breaking in a Nonlinear Optical Microresonator
A two‐color pump drives an integrated microring resonator into spontaneous color symmetry breaking mediated by the nonlinear Kerr effect. Above threshold, one optical color becomes spontaneously dominant while the other is submissive, with the selected output state emerging randomly. These results establish a new form of symmetry breaking in integrated

Background/Objectives: Fabry disease is an X-linked lysosomal storage disease. Earlier studies have mentioned dizziness/balance issues and vestibular involvement as a symptom of Fabry disease. Research on the matter remains scarce. This pilot study aims to show the prevalence of dizziness/balance issues and whether it is due to peripheral, central, or ...

Gradient‐Structured Polymer Fiber Mats for Broadly Tunable Multicolor and White Lasing
Hierarchically engineered electrospun fiber mats containing separated red, green, and blue dyes enable highly tunable multicolor and white random lasing. Spatially controlled dye distribution suppresses energy transfer, allowing precise color adjustment across wide color gamuts and accurate reproduction of daylight white standards.

A dual‐gated nanophotonic platform integrates lanthanide‐doped upconversion nanoparticles with a stimuli‐responsive silk–zirconia photonic crystal to enable multilevel optical encryption. Resonant photonic coupling allows hydration‐dependent modulation of visible emission under near‐infrared excitation, achieving reversible switching between decoy and ...

Tunable, High Pulse Energy and Narrow Linewidth Gas‐Filled Fiber Laser Across Near‐ and Mid‐Infrared
A cascaded gas‐filled anti‐resonant hollow‐core fiber architecture enables broadly tunable infrared Raman lasers spanning ∼1.4–4.6 µm while maintaining microjoule‐level pulse energies and gigahertz‐level linewidths. The approach combines a wavelength‐tunable pump laser with optimized Raman frequency conversion, providing a compact route to high ...
