British National Formulary Guidance on prescribing in pregnancy: A descriptive cross‐sectional study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim To assess how well pregnancy‐specific guidance within the British National Formulary supports healthcare professionals to facilitate safe and effective medication use. Methods We performed a manifest content analysis of the text of all pregnancy sections within British National Formulary drug monographs, with inductive and iterative coding.

Status and future of recombinant adeno‐associated virus vector manufacturing

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract Sixty years of adeno‐associated virus (AAV) research illustrates a trajectory marked by basic science exploration, iterative innovation, persistent challenges, a number of clinical setbacks, as well as commercial therapeutic triumphs. This continual evolution has led to recombinant AAV (rAAV) becoming a cornerstone of modern gene therapy ...

The frequency-dependent directivity of a planar Fabry-Perot polymer film ultrasound sensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A model of the frequency-dependent directivity of a planar, optically-addressed, Fabry-Perot (FP), polymer film ultrasound sensor is described and validated against experimental directivity measurements made over a frequency range of 1 to 15 MHz and ...

Screening of bispecific antibodies during single cell cloning of recombinant Chinese hamster ovary cell lines to improve titer and product quality

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract Development of therapeutic bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) poses significant manufacturability challenges associated with correct chain pairing and an increased diversity of impurities. Here we address this with a product quality assessment during cell line development (CLD), forgoing the need for genetic characterization during cell line ...

Fabry-Perot microcavity spectra have a fine structure

open access: yes, 2022
Optical cavities can support many transverse and longitudinal modes. A paraxial scalar theory predicts that the resonance frequencies of these modes cluster in different orders.

Proposal for a loophole-free violation of Bell's inequalities with a set of single photons and homodyne measurements

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
We demonstrate that different kinds of mesoscopic quantum states of light can be efficiently generated from a simple iterative scheme. These states exhibit strong non-classical features, and could be of great interest for many applications such as ...

Transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy: Literature review and red‐flag symptom clusters for each cardiology specialty

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 955-967, April 2025.
Abstract Wild‐type transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTRwt‐CM) is a progressive and infiltrative cardiac disorder that may cause fatal consequences if left untreated. The estimated survival time from diagnosis is approximately 3–6 years. Because of the non‐specificity of initial symptom manifestation and insufficient awareness among treating ...
