An Unusual Etiology of Bayés' Syndrome: Fabry Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 4, July 2026.
This patient with gene confirmed Fabry disease had advanced interatrial conduction block as seen on atrial‐specific vector tracing demonstrating sinus bradycardia with first‐degree AV block and sinus P‐wave terminal delay with biphasic morphology. The patient was later diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, which led to the diagnosis of Bayés' syndrome ...

Spatio‐Temporal Patterns in Relative Abundance and Distribution of Southern Right Whales in Southwestern Australia, 2021–2024

open access: yesMarine Mammal Science, Volume 42, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Southern right whales (Eubalaena australis) are listed as Endangered in Australia due to past commercial exploitation. Currently, they are experiencing contemporary declines in population growth rates. Knowledge of critical periods and habitats in whale occupancy and reproduction is crucial for conservation efforts.

Don't Sweat It: Cannabinoid CB1 Receptors Reduce Sweating in a Mouse Model

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
A new galvanic skin response‐based approach offers a simple method for measuring sweating in the paws of mice. This method is used to demonstrate that cannabinoid CB1 receptors reduce baseline sweating in mice, likely via inhibition of sympathetic acetylcholine release via axonal CB1 receptors.

Strong Mode Coupling and Maximum Directional Absorption in Reciprocal Bianisotropic Metasurfaces

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 12, 25 June 2026.
Symmetry breaking in q‐BIC dielectric metasurfaces enables strong electromagnetic coupling between electric and magnetic modes, leading to their hybridization and Rabi‐like splitting. This mechanism produces pronounced reciprocal bianisotropy and dual‐band asymmetric absorption under opposite illumination directions, offering a compact framework for ...

Quantum Dynamics Simulations of Polariton Transport in a Bloch Surface Wave Cavity

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 12, 25 June 2026.
Polariton Transport Quantum Dynamics for molecules (purple dots) collectively coupled to a Bloch Surface Wave Cavity. Lower panels show the polariton dispersion relation. ABSTRACT Coupling excitons to quantized cavity photonic modes can significantly enhance the spatial and temporal range of excitonic transport.
