In this paper, we present a novel Siamese graph convolution network (GCN) for face sketch recognition. To build a graph from an image, we utilize a deep learning method to detect the image edges, and then use a superpixel method to segment the edge image.

Composite components-based face sketch recognition
Neurocomputing, 2018Abstract Composite face sketch recognition is a challenging problem in face recognition, which is important for law enforcement. Considering composite sketch is generated from facial components, a component-based representation approach (CBR) was proposed to match composite sketch to photos recently.

Local Deep Features for Composite Face Sketch Recognition
2019 7th International Workshop on Biometrics and Forensics (IWBF), 2019Face sketch recognition is an important task for forensic investigations. In the last decades most of the sketches used by law enforcement agencies are composites made from real photos, using some specialized software. In this work we propose a new method for the automatic recognition of these composite sketches.

Forensic sketch based face recognition using geometrical face model
2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT), 2017Face recognition using sketches plays a major role in the field of forensic investigation and the field is considered to be more challenging domain for research work. The sketch forms a visual representation of a face and it can be utilized in many recognition applications for instance in facial expression recognition, retrieval of face, in the field ...

Face-sketch recognition using canonical correlation analysis
2013 21st Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2013Hand-drawn face sketches are frequently used in criminal investigations. In this paper, we present a novel framework for face recognition from sketches. Our framework based is on Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA).

Face sketch recognition using local invariant features
2015 7th International Conference of Soft Computing and Pattern Recognition (SoCPaR), 2015Face sketch recognition is one of the recent biometrics, which is used to identify criminals. In this paper, a proposed model is used to identify face sketch images based on local invariant features. In this model, two local invariant feature extraction methods, namely, Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) and Local Binary Patterns (LBP) are used ...

Third Eye: Forensic Face Sketch and Fingerprint Recognition
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, 2022In Forensic science, Face sketches are time consuming and are very limited to identify subjects. In this paper ,we will present an interface which will allow users to create a face sketch of the suspects or they can insert and verify their hand drawn forensic face sketch.

Face Recognition by Expression-Driven Sketch Graph Matching
18th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR'06), 2006We present a novel face recognition method using automatically extracted sketch by a multi-layer grammatical face model. First, the observed face is parsed into a 3- layer (face, parts and sketch) graph. In the sketch layer, the nodes not only capture the local features (strength, orientation and profile of the edge), but also remember the global ...
