FEATURES OF FACIAL RECOGNITION

open access: yesBULLETIN Series of Physics & Mathematical Sciences, 2020
The facial recognition system is used to provide identification and authentication during functional testing. It can also be used to identify people in different situations. This article presents a comparative study of the algorithms used for facial isolation and recognition. Algorithms are general algorithms that match a recognizable face. The concept

Automatic Facial Feature Detection for Facial Expression Recognition [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications, 2010
This paper presents a real-time automatic facial feature point detection method for facial expression recognition. The system is capable of detecting seven facial feature points (eyebrows, pupils, nose, and corners of mouth) in grayscale images extracted from a given video. Extracted feature points then used for facial expression recognition.

Effects of Cancer Treatment on Somatosensory and Nociceptive Processing in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chemotherapy‐induced peripheral neuropathy remains a major complication in pediatric cancer, with disrupted somatosensory and nociceptive processing being a key aspect. This review synthesizes empirical studies on alterations in somatosensory and nociceptive processing in children and adolescents with cancer.

Likelihood Ratio-Based Detection of Facial Features [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
One of the first steps in face recognition, after image acquisition, is registration. A simple but effective technique of registration is to align facial features, such as eyes, nose and mouth, as well as possible to a standard face.
