Facial Recognition Software for Android Operating Systems

2021 44th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2021
A mobile phone application was developed for biometric facial recognition on an Android operating system intended for authentication. The application is based on the Android Studio IDE (Integrated Development Environment), Java programming and on Google’s Mobile vision API (Application Programming Interface). This application intends to illustrate that

Evaluation of a Facial Recognition Engines for a Surveillance System

2019 IEEE AFRICON, 2019
This paper presents the evaluation of a facial recognition system when considered in an operational context for the South African environment. Often, performance measures, such as recognition rate, are considered outside of context, which does not provide sufficient information for selecting an appropriate recognition engine.

Anatomization of the systems of dimension relaxation for facial recognition

Intelligent Decision Technologies, 2020
Face recognition is the most efficient image analysis application, and the reduction of dimensionality is an essential requirement. The curse of dimensionality occurs with the increase in dimensionality, the sample density decreases exponentially. Dimensionality Reduction is the process of taking into account the dimensionality of the feature space by ...

An SVM-AdaBoost facial expression recognition system

Applied Intelligence, 2013
This study is focused on improving the recognition rate and processing time of facial recognition systems. First, the skin is detected by pixel based methods to reduce the searching space for maximum rejection classifier (MRC) which detects the face.

Facial recognition system for driver vigilance mlonitoring

2004 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37583), 2005
Many automobile accidents are related to drivers lacking required levels of vigilance to properly control their vehicles. In this paper we present a system that monitors the activity of parts of the face, in particular the eyes, in order to predict expressions of somnolence.

Facial Emotion Recognition Using Fuzzy Systems

2015 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 2015
This paper presents a fuzzy logic based emotion recognition system. The system is comprised of an image processing stage followed by an emotion recognition stage. In the image processing stage, the subject's face and facial features (eyes, mouth, etc.) are extracted. Next, the relevant identifying points are extracted from each facial feature.

SignsWorld Facial Expression Recognition System (FERS)

Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, 2014
Live facial expression recognition is an effective and essential research area in human computer interaction (HCI), and the automatic sign language recognition (ASLR) fields. This paper presents a fully automatic facial expression and direction of sight recognition system, that we called SignsWorld Facial Expression Recognition System (FERS).

Parallel Facial Recognition System Based on 2DHMM

2016
The constantly growing amount of digital data more and more often requires applying increasingly efficient systems for processing them. Increase the performance of individual processors has reached its upper limit therefore we need to build multiprocessor systems. To exploit the potential of such systems, it is necessary to use parallel computing, i.e.
