Abstract Over the course of studying stone products from the Roman colony of Emona (Regio X), stratigraphically undefined calcarenite that was used to make simple sepulchral and architectural stone products was detected. The calcarenite used is late Aptian to early Cenomanian in age.

CONSS: Contrastive Learning Approach for Semi-Supervised Seismic Facies Classification [PDF]
Recently, seismic facies classification based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) has garnered significant research interest. However, existing CNN-based supervised learning approaches necessitate massive labeled data. Labeling is laborious and time-consuming, particularly for 3D seismic data volumes.

Sedimentology and geochemistry of tufa and their relation to hydrochemistry of springs: An example of Abgarm Tufa of Kalat- east of Kopet- Dagh basin [PDF]
Tufa is the non- marine carbonates that formed from cold to low temperature freshwater at low depth and low energy flow conditions. Abgarm’s tufa is a typical kind of these deposits.

Natural History of NAA15‐Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder Through Adolescence
ABSTRACT The NatA N‐terminal acetyltransferase complex is composed of the NAA10 catalytic subunit and the auxiliary subunits NAA15 and HYPK. While those with variants in the enzymatic subunit develop Ogden Syndrome, individuals with variants in the NAA15 coding region develop NAA15‐related neurodevelopmental syndrome, which presents with a wide array ...

Binary Segmentation of Seismic Facies Using Encoder-Decoder Neural Networks [PDF]
The interpretation of seismic data is vital for characterizing sediments' shape in areas of geological study. In seismic interpretation, deep learning becomes useful for reducing the dependence on handcrafted facies segmentation geometry and the time required to study geological areas.

THE N.A. GOLOVKINSKY’S FUNDAMENTAL FACIAL LAW — PROBLEMATICS AND NEW HORIZONS
Famous Russian geologist N.A. Golovkinsky published 150 years ago an important scientific work, where the phenomenon of lateral displacement (movement) of homogeneous lithological layers («slide» over time) was asserted.

Nanopore Sequencing Solves an Elusive Case of Sotos Syndrome
ABSTRACT Sotos syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by distinctive facial features, including a broad and prominent forehead, dolichocephaly, and learning disabilities ranging from mild to severe intellectual impairment. Affected individuals often show overgrowth in height and head circumference over two standard deviations.
