Abstract Friction plays a crucial role in both natural phenomena, from the flow of blood cells to earthquakes, and technological applications, from car engines to wind turbines. One of the most fundamental aspects of tribology is friction anisotropy, that is, the dependence of the friction force vector on the direction of sliding.

Stabilization of the Benzene Radical Trianion in an Inverse‐Sandwich Yttrium Complex
A new type of benzene anion state is born: The unprecedented benzene radical trianion embedded in an inverse‐sandwich yttrium complex was synthesized by a one‐electron chemical reduction of its benzene dianion precursor using potassium graphite in the presence of [2.2.2]‐cryptand.

Abstract At least thirty‐five manuscript copies of Caxton's prints have been found so far. This article explores the implications of such manuscript copies of Caxton's prints and, interrupting the linear history of the book, considers Caxton's appeal beyond print in manuscript.
