Effect of Rock Mass Disturbance on Stability of 3D Hoek–Brown Slope and Charts
The present study performs a stability analysis of a three-dimensional (3D) rock slope in disturbed rock masses following the Generalized Hoek–Brown (GHB) failure criterion.

Stability of Extended Earth Berm for High Landfill
This study presents a stability analysis of an extended berm reinforced by geotextiles, with a steep slope of 1V:1.1H (vertical: horizontal). Finite element (FE) analyses were carried out to explore the failure mechanism and factor of safety (FOS) of the

Optimization of Bench Geometry for Efficient Slope Stability and Overburden Removal in Open Pit Mining [PDF]
Open-pit mining operations require a careful balance between maintaining slope stability and minimizing the amount of overburden to be removed. In this study, different bench geometries were examined to determine the most efficient configuration that ...

Evaluating the slope stability on shallow landslide using geographic information system (GIS) [PDF]
Landslides are natural disasters that have potential to severely hurt a country's economy. In Malaysia, many conventional roads are constructed across mountainous terrain, where landslides on man-made embankments or roadside cut slopes have disrupted ...

Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Polydopamine nanoparticles enable a precise, non‐genetic, and transcranial neuromodulation strategy via near‐infrared photothermal stimulation. By activating TRPV1 channels, this approach specifically enhances hippocampal gamma oscillations, thereby rescuing spatial memory deficits in models of perioperative neurocognitive disorder.
