[Anesthesia and factor VII deficiency].
Annales francaises d'anesthesie et de reanimation, 1990A case is reported of a 17 year-old patient undergoing emergency internal fixation of a mandibular fracture after a road traffic accident. Routine preoperative blood analysis revealed an isolated deficiency in factor VII (33%), with a normal activated partial thromboplastin time and a reduced prothrombin level (50%).

Open heart surgery with factor VII deficiency.
The Journal of cardiovascular surgery, 1983A case with marked factor VII deficiency, undergoing open heart surgery for atrial myxoma, is reported. The syndrome was unknown to the patient and only pre-operative routine coagulation studies showed a low prothrombin activity (22%). Further investigations revealed a severe factor VII deficiency.
