A NEW VARIANT OF FACTOR X DEFICIENCY (FACTOR X ROMA). [PDF]

open access: possibleThrombosis and Haemostasis, 1987
A 13 years-old-girl was admitted in our Hospital for a large muscle hematoma of left psoas. At age 3 she had a severe tonsillar bleeding following angina. Afterwards she suffered from easy bruisability and recurrent epistaxis. Prothrombin time (PT) was slightly prolonged (14.7 sec, control 12 sec, INR 1.5), while a more marked prolongation in aPTT was ...

Assessment of Factor VII and Factor X

Thrombosis and Haemostasis, 1966
SummaryA method is described to separate factor VII from factor X in normal serum using electrophoresis in a polyvinyl chloride block. A potent source of factor X is obtained. This may be used in correction studies and for assessment of deficiencies of factor VII in patients.

Biochemistry of factor X

Blood Reviews, 1994
Factor X circulates as a serine protease which is converted to the active form at the point of convergence of the intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation pathways. Subsequently, the enzymatic species, factor Xa, is involved in macromolecular complex formation with its cofactor factor Va, a phospholipid surface and calcium to convert prothrombin into ...

Factor X

Thrombosis and Haemostasis, 1971
SummaryA monospecific antiserum against factor X was prepared in rabbits. The antiserum precipitated factor X in human plasma and serum and monkey serum. The antiserum was used to :1. demonstrate the presence of factor X precursor in blood from patients under anticoagulant therapy,2.

The X factor [PDF]

open access: possibleNature, 2012
Measurements in a forest reveal a previously unknown atmospheric oxidant that acts as a source of sulphuric acid — one of the main precursors for the formation and growth of aerosol particles and clouds.

Neutralization of factor X activity by factor X-specific monoclonal antibodies

Blood Coagulation & Fibrinolysis, 1992
Factor X, a vitamin K-dependent protein, is the plasma zymogen for the active serine protease factor Xa. Factor Xa is the proteolytic enzyme for prothrombinase, the multi-protein membrane complex that catalyses the cleavage of prothrombin to thrombin.

Physicochemical and immunological properties of canine factor X and activated factor X

Thrombosis Research, 1977
Abstract Canine Factor X(FX) was purified and its molecular weight was first determined by the use of SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS PAGE). Its average value was 57,800 ± 2,500 (SD) in 3 measurements. It was also found that FX was split into a heavy chain and a light chain upon reduction with beta-mercaptoethanol, the molecular weight of ...

The Role of Human Factor X Activation Peptide in Activation of Factor X by Factor IXa

The Journal of Biochemistry, 1994
We studied the interaction of factor X activation peptide (XAP) with factor IXa and factor Xa and the effect of XAP on factor IXa-catalyzed activation of factor X. XAP associated with factor Xa in the presence of 5 mM Ca2+ was dissociated from factor Xa by gel chromatography using Ultrogel AcA54 in 5 mM EDTA, or in 8 M urea-0.1% SDS.

Platelet Aggregation and Adhesiveness in Classical Factor X Deficiency and in the Abnormal Factor X (Factor X Friuli) Coagulation Disorder

Acta Haematologica, 1976
Platelet aggregation to common inductors and to Ristocetin, Thrombofax and Ionophore is normal in congenital factor X deficiency and in factor X Friuli coagulation disorders. Washed normal platelets resuspended in the patient's plasma and in adsorbed normal plasma showed a normal aggregation.

The X-Value Factor

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
X-value normalizes stock prices by the recursive out-of-sample expectation of each firm's net income, estimated by industry from its financials, while ignoring book equity. The resulting X-value factor is unspanned by the five Fama/French factors individually or in different combinations, and spans the value and investment factors.
