Pt/TiO2 Prepared by Mechanochemistry Boosts Photocatalytic Production of Hydrogen
Ball milling enables the rapid synthesis of a Pt/TiO₂ photocatalyst with atomically dispersed Pt, outperforming a conventional Pt‐cluster catalyst (1.3× higher H2 evolution from ethanol). Enhanced activity is attributed to single‐atom stabilization and suppressed surface restructuring, promoting efficient charge separation via Schottky barrier ...

Ammonia borane is considered a great hydrogen carrier, and when hydrolyzed, it can generate 3 moles of H2. This study highlights the combination of experimental and computational work, such as modeling and statistical analysis, that enables future experimentation by focusing on the parameter with the most profound effect on maximum H2 yield.

Optimal Conditions Linked to the Reducing Agent on the Role of Morphology of Silver Nanoparticles
Thus, the relevance of the present work is the prediction and control of the nanometric particle size range, which is necessary for an efficient silver nanoparticle application in different technological fields. Besides, this work demonstrated how to determine the operating conditions to minimize or maximize the size of the nanoparticles to attend to a

Abstract This study focuses on the extraction of nickel ions from an aqueous solution using a green emulsion liquid membrane (GELM). Its primary objective is to choose between corn oil and sunflower oil as a solvent in GELM and compare their performance with a kerosene‐based emulsion liquid membrane (ELM).

Abstract Oil sands exploration generates large volumes of mature fine tailings—mixtures of clays, water, and residual bitumen—that remain stable even after settling in tailings ponds for many years. Commonly used flocculants, such as neutral and anionic polyacrylamides, destabilize the colloidal interactions between the clay particles, but ...

Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) obtained from the black mass of recycled lithium batteries is dissolved in water under controlled conditions to remove lithium fluoride (LiF), which is present at a concentration of 3.08 % by weight. The dissolution is carried out at temperatures below 10 °C, and it has been demonstrated that lower temperatures result in ...

A high‐yield paired electrosynthesis of ethylene glycol from formaldehyde and methanol at current densities up to 350 mA cm−2 is demonstrated. The presented method utilizes inexpensive graphite electrodes in either batch or flow cell and 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidin‐1‐yl)oxyl (TEMPO) as a redox mediator.
