Neutrino Factory R&D - a global perspective [PDF]
The current world status of plans for future particle-physics accelerators and accelerator research and development is outlined. The developments for a neutrino factory are placed in this context. Finally, a specific initiative relevant for Europe is discussed.

Factorial cumulants from global baryon number conservation [PDF]
The proton, antiproton and mixed proton-antiproton factorial cumulants originating from the global conservation of baryon number are calculated analytically up to the sixth order. Our results can be directly tested in experiments.

We review results on hadron multiplicities in high energy particle collisions. Both theory and experiment are discussed. The general procedures used to describe particle multiplicity in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) are summarized.

Usage of a statistical method of designing factorial experiments in the mechanical activation of a complex CuPbZn sulphide concentrate [PDF]
Mechanical activation belongs to innovative procedures which intensify technological processes by creating new surfaces and making a defective structure of solid phase.

Soil salinity effects on phenological traits, plant height and seed yield in rapeseed genotypes
Among the various abiotic stresses limiting the crop production, salinity stress is the most important problem, which needs to be addressed and answered straight away.

Randomization-based joint central limit theorem and efficient covariate adjustment in stratified $2^K$ factorial experiments [PDF]
Randomized block factorial experiments are widely used in industrial engineering, clinical trials, and social science. Researchers often use a linear model and analysis of covariance to analyze experimental results; however, limited studies have addressed the validity and robustness of the resulting inferences because assumptions for a linear model ...

Neutrino Factory Superbeam [PDF]
We discuss the optimization of a neutrino factory for large \sin^2 2 \theta_{13}, where we assume minimum effort on the accelerator side. This implies that we use low muon energies for the price of an optimized detection system. We demonstrate that such a neutrino factory performs excellent if combined with the electron neutrino appearance channel ...

The data generated by many factorial experiments are analyzed by linear regression models. Often the higher order interaction terms of such models are negligible (e.g., R.

Comparing Data Characteristics and Results of an Online Factorial Survey between a Population-Based and a Crowdsource-Recruited Sample [PDF]
Compared to older kinds of sample surveys, online platforms provide a fast and low-cost platform for factorial surveys, as well as a more demographically diverse alternative to student samples.
