Integrated Bioinformatics Analysis Identifies FCER1G, IL1R2, and BST1 as Diagnostic Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets in Sepsis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Integrative bioinformatics and experimental validation of FCER1G, IL1R2, and BST1 as biomarkers and therapeutic targets in neonatal sepsis. ABSTRACT Background Sepsis remains difficult to diagnose since blood culture has low sensitivity and current biomarkers lack sufficient specificity.

CO2 capture by accelerated weathering of limestone using waste limestone at elevated CO2 concentrations

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Accelerated weathering of limestone (AWL) using waste limestone (WL) for industrially relevant CO2 capture remains underexplored. Previous studies on potable water‐operated AWL have mainly examined idealised conditions, such as the use of high‐purity limestone or relatively low CO2 concentrations, which may not reflect selected ...

A longitudinal exploration of self‐perception, mental images of the self, and depression in young people

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Cognitive theories suggest that negative self‐perception is central to the development and maintenance of depression. One way self‐perception is represented is through mental imagery of the self. Despite its theoretical importance, the role of mental images of the self in depression has not been systematically examined.

Harnessing personal and social resources in managing internalising and externalising symptoms in children living in low‐resource settings

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Children growing up in low‐resource settings are at greater risk for lifelong psychiatric problems. They are both more likely to have risk factors for early psychopathology and to be less likely to seek help and engage support for these problems.
