Ocean acidification at the crossroads I: Harmonizing unpurified and purified meta‐cresol purple spectrophotometric pHT measurements based on absorbance data

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography: Methods, Volume 24, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Consistent monitoring of seawater spectrophotometric pH on the total hydrogen ion scale (pHT) has been questioned by an evolving method, with changes in parameterization and the purity of the meta‐cresol purple (mCP). Using real seawater samples, we demonstrate that spectrophotometric pHT measurements obtained with unpurified (UNPUR) and ...

Multivalent Protein Nanorings for Broad and Potent SARS‐CoV‐2 Neutralization

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 10, 13 March 2026.
A protein‐only, modular multivalent nanoscaffold displaying 20 anchor points, decorated with two different binders (10 of each), targeting the SARS‐CoV‐2 receptor‐binding domain is presented. The construct self‐assembles into stable, biocompatible, homogeneous nanoparticles, exhibit synergistic binding with fM IC50 values. It also detects spike at 9 ng

Integral Phylogenomic Approach over Ilex L. Species from Southern South America

open access: yesLife, 2017
The use of molecular markers with inadequate variation levels has resulted in poorly resolved phylogenetic relationships within Ilex. Focusing on southern South American and Asian species, we aimed at contributing informative plastid markers.

NO GAUSSIANIDAD Y CORRECCIONES DE LAZO EN UN MODELO INFLACIONARIO DE RODADURA LENTA CON POTENCIAL ESCALAR CUADRÁTICO DE DOS COMPONENTES. PARTE II

open access: yes, 2008

Pinopsin Regulates Melatonin Production and Daily Locomotor Activity: Functional Insights From Gene‐Edited Xenopus Tadpoles

open access: yesJournal of Pineal Research, Volume 78, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Circadian rhythm alignment depends on environmental light detection via opsins. Pinopsin, originally identified in the pineal organ of birds and later in amphibian pineal complex and eyes, may play a role in this process, though its function has not been genetically tested.
