Different proportions of dried Vernonia amygdalina leaves and wheat bran mixture supplementation on feed intake, digestibility and body weight change of Arsi–Bale sheep fed with natural pasture hay as basal diet

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 9, Issue 2, Page 957-966, March 2023., 2023
Trends in body weight change of Arsi–Bale sheep fed with natural pasture hay basal diet and supplemented with dried Vernonia amygdalina leaves and wheat bran mixture at different proportions. Abstract Background Animal feed shortage in quality and quantity, and escalating costs of agro‐industrial by‐products to supplement crop residues and natural ...

Speaking in gestures: Left dorsal and ventral frontotemporal brain systems underlie communication in conducting

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 57, Issue 2, Page 324-350, January 2023., 2023
In instrumentalists and conductors, a left frontotemporal dorsal system involving Broca's pars opercularis (F3op) distinguished conducting gestures from similar gestures to beat rhythms. A ventral system including the Broca's pars triangularis (F3tri) differentiated this motor act in conductors from those in instrumentalists.

Mechanisms of Hebbian‐like plasticity in the ventral premotor – primary motor network

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 601, Issue 1, Page 211-226, 1 January 2023., 2023
Abstract figure legend The neural circuits involved in plasticity induction after the ventral premotor cortex to primary motor cortex (PMv‐to‐M1) cortico‐cortical paired associative stimulation (cc‐PAS). Left, the cc‐PAS coil orientations: postero‐anterior (PA) and antero‐posterior (AP). Right blocks show the neural circuits preferentially activated by

Mirror neuron brain regions contribute to identifying actions, but not intentions

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 43, Issue 16, Page 4901-4913, November 2022., 2022
The involvement of mirror neuron brain regions in action understanding has been difficult to determine. Two experiments using transcranial magnetic stimulation and functional magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated that mirror neuron regions are involved in action identification but not in identification of others' intentions. This suggests that mirror

Imagined paralysis reduces motor cortex excitability

open access: yesPsychophysiology, Volume 59, Issue 10, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Mental imagery is a powerful capability that engages similar neurophysiological processes that underlie real sensory and motor experiences. Previous studies show that motor cortical excitability can increase during mental imagery of actions. In this study, we focused on possible inhibitory effects of mental imagery on motor functions.

Movimento repetitivo e fadiga muscular

The effect of first‐person perspective action observation training on upper extremity function and activity of daily living of chronic stroke patients

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 12, Issue 5, May 2022., 2022
Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of First‐Person Perspective Action Observation training and Third‐Person Perspective Action Observation training on upper extremity function and activities of daily living of patients with stroke‐induced hemiplegia.
