On the Performance of Cell-Free Massive MIMO With Mixed-ADC Under Rician Fading Channels
IEEE Communications Letters, 2020In this letter, we introduce a mixed analog-to-digital converter (ADC) receiver architecture to cell-free massive multi-input multi-output (mMIMO) system under Rician fading channels.

Periodicity Fade-Out; Initiation by External Factors
1964It was mentioned earlier that animals and plants will show an endogenous diurnal rhythm even if they have not been exposed to diurnal cycles of environmental factors during their embryonic development. One more point has to be added: very often these organisms do not show any periodicity at first, but a single stimulus is then sufficient to initiate ...

Performance factors for space-time trellis codes in block fading channels
2004 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8754), 2005We propose the performance factors for space-time trellis codes (STTC) in block fading channels (BFC). The proposed performance factors are simpler than the conventional ones and good for the various situations: a short fading block length for a high signal-to-noise noise ratio (SNR) and a low SNR.

Incorporating Fading Factors Into EKF for Space Non-Cooperative Target Tracking
2025 18th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, BioMedical Engineering and Informatics (CISP-BMEI)Dynamic model mismatch (DMM) may occur when tracking space non-cooperative targets due to their unknown maneuvers. This can result in degraded tracking accuracy or even a complete loss of the target.

Theory of multipath shape factors for small-scale fading wireless channels
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2000This paper presents a new theory of multipath shape factors that greatly simplifies the description of small-scale fading statistics of a wireless receiver. A method is presented for reducing a multipath channel with arbitrary spatial complexity to three shape factors that have simple intuitive geometrical interpretations.

Adaptive Kalman Filter with Multiple Fading Factors for UAV State Estimation
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2009Abstract In general case, as an algorithm for estimating the parameters of a linear system, Kalman filter can be utilized without any problem. However, when there is a malfunction in the estimation system, the filter fails and the outputs become inaccurate.

Cooperative NOMA Short-Packet Communications in Flat Rayleigh Fading Channels
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2019A two-user downlink cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) short-packet communication network is investigated in flat Rayleigh fading channels, where a central user cooperatively relays the signals intended to a cell-edge user.

Impact of random K factor on Ricean fading wireless system performance
2012 16th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2012In this paper we analyze performance of a wireless communication system in the case of Ricean fading environment. However, instead of commonly used fading model where only instantaneous signal to noise ratio is assumed to be random variable, whereas Ricean K factor is deterministic parameter, we examine the impact that randomly changing K factor have ...

Frequency selective Rician fading MIMO channel and channel Rice factor estimation
2010 International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2010In this paper, to estimate Rician frequency selective fading Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channels, the Shifted Scaled Least Squares (SSLS) and General form of the Linear Minimum Mean Square Error (GLMMSE) channel estimators are proposed. It is shown that these estimators achieve much better minimum possible Bayesian Cramer-Rao Lower Bounds ...
