ABSTRACT Objective Stereoelectroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation (SEEG‐RFTC) has emerged as a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment for children with drug‐resistant focal epilepsy. Although evidence from real‐world studies remains limited, numerous pediatric cases have demonstrated promising outcomes. This retrospective

Characteristics of Multisystem Organ Failure in Neonates
European Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1997The records of 45 neonatal deaths in a four year period were reviewed retrospectively. Sixteen patients (35.5%) developed multisystem organ failure (MSOF). The criteria for pulmonary, hepatic, renal, hematologic, cardiac and microvascular failures were established. The onset of the first organ involvement was calculated in days prior to death.

Endocrinologic Characteristics of Partial Ovarian Failure
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1976Three young women with primary ovarian failure, secondary amenorrhea or oligo-ovulation, and normal gonadotropin levels are reported on here. Vaginal cytology and serum estradiol levels indicated the two women to be persistently hypoestrogenic. The third case, who had the Turner phenotype, was hypoestrogenic during anovulatory cycles but occasionally ...

Biobehavioral characteristics of infants with failure to thrive
Journal of Pediatric Nursing, 2001Failure to thrive (FTT) is a syndrome of growth failure that results in an infant who is behaviorally difficult. The current thinking is that FTT results from a problematic infant-mother interaction, with the infant making a significant contribution to the interactional process.

Network failure characteristic analysis
2009 16th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, 2009With the increasing popularity of network, network failure has already become a hot topic recently. This paper summarizes the conception of network failure according to network functions. It is defined as the state or event, in which the network cannot transmit material, energy or information timely, completely and correctly according to customer ...

Morphological Characteristics of the Terminal Villi in Placental Failure
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 2013A comparative morphological study of the placentas in spontaneous and induced pregnancy aggravated by placental failure was carried out. Placental failure manifested by shrinkage of the terminal villi, lesser number and section areas of their capillaries, and higher expression of vascular endothelium growth factor and endothelial NO synthase in the ...

Failure of humeral shaft fixation: construct characteristics
European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology, 2023Fixation failure following open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of humeral shaft fractures can be a challenging complication. We aimed to identify the modes of failure and characteristics of failed fixation constructs. We queried our institutional database for patients > 18 years old with fixation failure after ORIF with single plate and screw ...
