Rheocasting versus Die Casting: An Insight into the Low‐Cycle Fatigue Behavior of AlSi7Mg0.6
The study compares rheocast lightweight components with high‐pressure die cast materials regarding microstructure and fatigue behavior. Rheocast process offers higher efficiency due to lower casting temperatures. Despite some microstructural differences, both processes show similar strengths (yield strength 125 MPa, tensile strength 240 MPa).

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Chemical Failure Mode Addition to the Failure Mode Taxonomy
Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention, 2012The research objective of this article is to fortify the failure mode taxonomy by including chemical failures. This inclusion would enable comprehensive risk analysis in technology-based products. As technology improves at an exponential rate, partially owing to chemical advances in the semiconductor industry, failure identification tools must keep up ...

Failure Modes and Failure Analysis
2012Reliability is related to all levels of an application, from component or device level to system or environment level. Even though all these levels are linked and interact with each other, they are described separately in this chapter. For each level of the system, the dominant failure modes are summarized, and where possible related models describing ...
