Additive Manufacturing of NiTi Shape Memory Alloys for Elastocaloric Applications: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing enables complex NiTi architectures that overcome key limitations in elastocaloric refrigeration, including poor heat transfer and high mechanical work input. This review surveys recent advances in LPBF‐ and DED‐fabricated NiTi shape memory alloys for elastocaloric applications, highlighting process–structure–performance ...

Inconsistency of fairness evaluation in simulated labot market. [PDF]

open access: yes
Reciprocal behavior was often explained by perception of fairness derived from either agents’ intention or distributional outcome. In this paper, we demonstrated that fairness perception depended on the evaluability of the partner’s type.

Shape‐Controlled Guanine Self‐Assemblies for Stable and Fast‐Ion Solid–Electrolyte Interphases in Sustainable Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The shape of guanine self‐assemblies is tuned by introducing alkyl (G8), fluoroalkyl (G8f), and oligoether (G8g) side chains into the G moiety. The scanning tunneling microscopy results and calculations show that the presence and type of the side chain strongly affect the G self‐assembly network.

Enhanced Hybrid TIM-TDMA to Maximize the Total Throughput With Fairness Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society
This paper addresses the problem of topological interference management (TIM) in ad hoc networks operating under a frequency-flat Rayleigh fading channel in single-input single-output (SISO). Assuming that the nodes have access to the statistical channel

High Pressure Densification Investigation of Li3PS4 and Li6PS5Cl Solid Electrolytes using Combine X‐Ray Diffraction, X‐Ray Absorption Tomography and Ionic Measurement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We used multiple analytical techniques at the Psiché beamline, Synchrotron Soleil, and at D20 instrument in Institut Laue Langevin, to study the densification of thiophosphate solid electrolytes Li3PS4 and Li6PS5Cl. Our combined X‐ray diffraction, absorption tomography, absorption density, neutron power diffraction, and ionic conductivity analyses ...

Fairness-aware recommendation with meta learning

open access: yesScientific Reports
Fairness has become a critical value online, and the latest studies consider it in many problems. In recommender systems, fairness is important since the visibility of items is controlled by systems.

Who Deserves To Be Supported? Analysing Attitudes Towards Horizontal Redistribution in Nigeria

open access: yesSocial Inclusion
Despite the widespread recognition of the risk that group‐based inequalities, or so‐called horizontal inequalities (HIs), pose for the political stability and social cohesion of multi‐ethnic societies, extremely little research has been conducted on how ...

How Fair is Fair Trade?

open access: yesDe Economist, 2002
This paper investigates to what extent fair trade programmes, are indeed ‘fair.’ This is accomplished by comparing fair trade with free trade and protectionist trade regimes on their compliance of the criteria set by the fair trade movement itself. This comparison is made using comparative cost based models and economies of scale models.
