Picosecond Stabilization of Transferred Charge Carriers at Plasmonic Metal-Molecule Interfaces. [PDF]
Charge and heat transfer processes between plasmonic nanoparticles and adsorbed moleculal monolayers are observed using ultrafast infrared spectrocopy. Analysis of free carrier absorption and vibrational signals indicates that overflowing charge carriers are stabilized, extending their lifetime to several picoseconds.

Conserved charge fluctuations at vanishing net-baryon density from Lattice QCD [PDF]
We present here continuum extrapolated results for all 2nd order cumulants using the most resent results obtained by the HotQCD collaboration in (2+1)-flavor QCD. We constrain the applicability of various HRG models by presenting a detailed comparison of

Search for grain growth towards the center of L1544 [PDF]
In dense and cold molecular clouds dust grains are surrounded by thick icy mantles. It is however not clear if dust growth and coagulation take place before the switch-on of a protostar.

Planar pixel sensors for the ATLAS upgrade: beam tests results [PDF]
The performance of planar silicon pixel sensors, in development for the ATLAS Insertable B-Layer and High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) upgrades, has been examined in a series of beam tests at the CERN SPS facilities since 2009. Salient results are reported on

Ion-bunch energy acoustic tracing by modulation of the depth-dose curve
Characterizing exact energy density distributions for laser-accelerated ion bunches in a medium is challenging due to very high beam intensities and the electro-magnetic pulse emitted in the laser–plasma interaction.

Dynamics of nanometer-scale foil targets irradiated with relativistically intense laser pulses [PDF]
In this letter we report on an experimental study of high harmonic radiation generated in nanometer-scale foil targets irradiated under normal incidence.

$$|\Delta c|=|\Delta u|=1$$ |Δc|=|Δu|=1 processes are unique probes of flavor physics in the up-sector within and beyond the Standard Model (SM). SM tests with rare semileptonic charm meson decays are based on an approximate CP–symmetry, a superior GIM ...

Probing for new physics with rare charm baryon (Λ c , Ξ c , Ω c ) decays
We analyze rare charm baryon decays within the standard model and beyond. We identify all null test observables in unpolarized Λ c → pℓ + ℓ − , ℓ = e, μ decays, and study the new physics sensitivities.
